I just watched a video of Pastor David Abioye of Winners Chapel and he was talking about how his car had a fault and he poured anointing oil in it and told the car to behave.
He also said they told him to buy a spare part for the car and again he poured anointing oil.
This is the sort of thing Christians listen to every day and you want to tell me that they will think about innovative solutions to the problems we face as a country.
Every day, I wonder if anyone can be intellectually honest and still be a Christian because how do I explain that an intelligent person will be in this congregation, hear this and not find it offensive to the point where they quit the Faith or the denomination?
Like how do you claim to be intelligent and this doesn’t offend your intelligence?
If David Abioye claims to be so anointed or is sure his god has any power, why is the god not giving him the power to move from one place to another without needing a car built by men who don’t acknowledge the existence of the god of David Abioye?
This same man is part of a church that owns universities with a Faculty of Engineering where they teach mechanical and electrical engineering.
What’s the need of owning a university to teach engineering when you can use anointing oil to fix the mechanical and electrical faults of cars?
Why is the power of the god of David Abioye not making cars but fixing cars made by people who don’t know this God?
You cannot be religious and be intellectually honest, it is not possible, if you are intellectually honest, you cannot be religious, these too can never work.
To remain religious as an intellectual you must be dishonest, you must misinform, misinterpret, deny and be intentionally delusional.
