I have read posts of late that insinuated that Mubarak Bala has been abandoned to his fate and I’ve never been more bothered by any piece of misinformation as I am by that one.

The search and rescue for Mubarak Bala is a relentless one and ongoing. Only without the media frenzy of the first one month of his abduction and incarceration.
.
I’ve been in frequent communication with his wife and have offered her morale support and encouragement the best I could however, expectedly she’s hurting as she confronts the reality of a noose hanging over her husband’s neck and the probability of becoming a widow just after one year of their marriage and a 5 months old baby and increasing bills with very limited income.
.
But the efforts are ongoing.. The pressure is mounting and this is the way I’d rather it’s executed. Rather than everyone talking at the same time and nobody listening, but few loud voices and people of influence rising to the occasion.

Various countries like UK, Canada, Switzerland, etc have threatened sanctions to no avail.
Only two days ago professor Wole Soyinka did called for the immediate and swift release of Mubarak Bala and that is commendable.
.
She had earlier written to the Senate of Nigeria for intervention but is yet to get a response from them.
.
Recently, popular human rights activist and founder of the online news media Sahara Reporters Owoyele Sowore had called her to sympathize with her as well as express his solidarity.
.
I requested for his number and with his permission, she gave it to me and I have a message to him to work in collaboration and I hope to do my little bit through writing in anyway I can.

A good Samaritan based in UK contacted me this morning for her information to send some money in support for her and her baby and I linked them and he has reached out to her..Kay DGreat. Thanks for your support.

Her information and identity cannot be public due to concerns over her person safety and her child’s.
